May 30 marks the final day to submit applications for fall, 2025 admission under Prospect Mountain High School's open enrollment program.
Open enrollment allows students who reside outside of Alton or Barnstead to attend Prospect Mountain High School instead of the public high school in their community, at no cost to families. The law that allows open enrollment was passed in 2009 and was intended to allow families to choose a public school option just as they may choose a charter school for their child.
Prospect Mountain High School has been offering open enrollment since the 2023-2024 school year. Applications may be submitted at this link (apply.pmsau.org) or by scanning the QR Code below. After the initial application period closes at the end of this week, applications will be processed and students will be admitted for the fall of 2025.
The application portal will remain open, and applications may be submitted after May 30, however students applying after the deadline will not be admitted with the first round of applications . If there any open enrollment seats remain available after initial fall applications have been processed, further admissions will take place on a rolling basis starting August 1.
