The National Art Honors Society, along with several art classes at Prospect Mountain High School, visited the Portland Museum of Art on October 31st. We were able to travel through time by observing both contemporary art and art derived from as early as the 18th century, as well as the shifts in the American perspective through the various sculptures, paintings, and drawings. Drawing inspiration from the trip, the society has been able to implement different techniques and mediums to compose various works of art at Prospect Mountain High School. In fact, the society has future plans for conducting murals to spread the message of art in both the communities of Alton and Barnstead.
