As many of you know, Jude Dumond, who is the current student representative to the school board, will be graduating this year. As a result, we have an opening to fill for next school year. Therefore, if you are interested in potentially serving as PMHS's next student representative to the school board, please read on!

If you are interested in applying for this role, you must submit a letter of interest to Principal Latchaw addressing and explaining the following:

  • Why you want this position; 

  • What qualifications make you an appropriate candidate; 

  • How you will dutifully represent and speak for your fellow peers and school as a whole.

Other important information:

  • Letters of interest are due to Principal Latchaw, via email, no later than Friday, March 13th.

  • Parent/guardian support and permission is required for this position.

  • Students should be prepared to serve in this role for multiple years (if possible) along with attending each month's meeting throughout the school year (including the Summer if/as needed) and submitting the required student report to the board for each meeting as well.

    • Re-application each year (if necessary) is required.

  • Students should be both comfortable and capable of collecting important information to share with the board as part of their monthly report.

  • At all times, the student representative must remain in both good academic standing (i.e. passing all classes) and good behavioral standing (i.e. little to no behavioral referrals); and should otherwise act as a good role model for their fellow peers.

  • The final candidate will be required to attend, with Jude Dumond, at least 2 school board meetings in the current school year.
