On behalf of Prospect Mountain High School, Principal David Latchaw and the PMHS Administration are pleased to announce that Athletic Director James Christie will be leading the school's new football program as head coach.  Coach Christie has been exceptionally successful in his career as a softball coach.  His impact on Prospect Mountain athletics over the last two years has been equally impressive through bringing back and expanding Homecoming traditions, introducing the Prospect Mountain Athletics Hall of Fame, helping to support the growth of our new Wrestling program, and ushering in Competitive Cheer.  He has also been instrumental in providing co-op opportunities for Prospect Mountain's ice hockey players.
In addition to his demonstrated success in developing athletes and athletic programs, Coach Christie brings his own collegiate playing experience to football.  The district considered several applications and interviewed multiple candidates to ensure that this was the right decision for Prospect Mountain.  Coach Christie will work closely with the superintendent and school board to ensure that his commitment to football in no way detracts from his passion and performance for all Prospect Mountain sports.
This is an exciting day and an important step forward in establishing football at Prospect.  Coach Christie will immediately begin assembling his coaching staff as the school prepares for its inaugural football season.
