Prospect Mountain High School Applying to College 101

Selecting colleges and applying for admission can be overwhelming. There are applications to be completed, deadlines to meet, essays to write and policies to understand. This session is intended to educate the student and family about the college admission process and is appropriate for high school juniors and their parents. Topics include: narrowing your list, questions to ask on a college tour, college essay pointers, the application timeline and the basics of financial aid. Attendees will receive The College Admissions Insider. Questions? Reach out to the School Counseling Department.
The National Art Honor Society Art Gala will take place Friday, April 18 from 6-8 PM at the Oscar Foss Memorial Library

Lunch 1 will start at the normal time of 11:32 AM.
Lunch 2 will start earlier at 11:58 AM.

Come out & support your Knightwolves Girls Ice Hockey team as they take on St. Thomas in the first round of playoffs, tomorrow, 3/4/2025 at Pop Whalen in Wolfeboro. The puck drops at 7:10pm.
Schools in Alton and Barnstead will have a two-hour delay today, Monday, February 17.
All Alton and Barnstead schools will be closed on Thursday, February 13. Students will have remote learning or blizzard bags, depending on grade level. Look for emails from principals with details for each school.
Due to the impending weather for Saturday, the Class of 2028's Valentine's Day with the Milky Way Fundraiser has been cancelled.
February 6th, will be a REMOTE LEARNING DAY. Below you will find the schedule and expectations for everyone. It is important for all students to follow this schedule in order for the day to count as a school day (so we don’t have to make it up at the end of the school year)!

Hello Students,
There are only 14 school days until the end of semester one! If you would like a schedule change for semester 2, please try and take care of this before the start of the semester on Monday, January 27th. You will have one week into the semester to change semester classes, but many classes are full already. See your counselor if you want to make any changes. Thank you.

On Monday, Jan. 6th, at 6pm we have Granite Edvance coming to talk about "Paying for College". This is a great opportunity to learn about all the options for financial support for you to look into and ask questions. Bring your parents as well!

This is a reminder that we return to school tomorrow, Thursday, Jan 2, 2025. Even though it is a Thursday, we will be having a 7 Period Day starting at 8:00 AM.
Attention Seniors! Your senior photos will be due February 2nd, 2025. You will be receiving a folder in your Google Drive from Abbie Fisichelli. Do not worry if you do not receive it until after the break. Instructions can be found in a Google Doc in this folder. Please make sure to read all the instructions thoroughly! If no photos are submitted, we will have to use your school ID. If you didn’t take an ID photo this year, we will have to use your picture from Junior year (and random candids). So please, submit your photos! If you have any questions regarding the instructions, please feel free to contact Paige Caruso or Abbie Fisichelli.
P.S. The due date for baby photos has been extended to the week after break! We would love to see your photos!
SENIORS:
We will be ordering diplomas by the end of this week! If you have not specified how you'd like your name to be printed on it, then it will be printed out as first name and last name.
Also, you should have ordered your cap and gown via the website by now. The deadline is fast approaching. Please see your guidance counselor or stop into the main office if you need assistance. Thank you.
